About
Felicity is a painter currently living in South Devon.
Felicity explores the creation of contemporary landscapes through an intuitive exploration of mark-making, examining how the physical gesture of paint transforms into a sense of place. Felicity is interested in the relationship between paint and its ability to suggest landscapes, providing the viewer with just enough to enter their own imagined terrain.
Felicity draws inspiration from imagery of tropical locations, jungles, science fiction, and holidays that linger in the collective imagination, shaping perceptions of place. The constructed landscape often embodies a tension between idealised dreamscapes and contrived reality; this friction is fundamental to Felicity’s work, creating surreal places that exist somewhere between the real and the imagined, serving as spaces of escape, memory, and invention.
Felicity is open to new things and would love the opportunity to collaborate, so feel free to drop her a message.
